Tips for Shopping at Walgreens
The best feature of shopping at Walgreens is taking advantage of their Register Rewards deals each week. Register Rewards are catalina's (coupons printed at register as you checkout) that you can use on your next transaction. Most weeks, Walgreens offers several items that produce Register Rewards for the full (or almost full) purchase price. This is a great way to stock up on FREEBIES!
Walgreens does allow "stacking" one manufacturer coupon with a Walgreens coupon for a particular item. (Example: you want to purchase an Almay lip gloss for $5 and there is a $2 Walgreens coupon in their monthly coupon book or weekly circular AND you have a $2 coupon from a newspaper insert...you can use both and only pay $1 for the product.)
It is important to note that Walgreens will not allow more coupons than products purchased and paying with Register Rewards does count as coupons. So if you are stacking coupons and using Register Rewards, you must have at least an equal amount of products in your basket. If not, search for an inexpensive "filler" item such as a piece of candy.
It is also important to note that Register Rewards do not "roll". If you purchase Pantene Shampoo and it produces a $2 reward, if you stop in the store later that week to pick up another shampoo, it will not print another $2 reward if you PAY with the same Pantene reward.
